Friends You Need To Have

Having friends is the most wonderful moment in our lives. We can count on them whenever we need help and gives us hope in times of sorrows. Aside to our parents, our friends understands and accepts everything about us. Our friends might know a lot of things that even our parents are not aware of. They also know our strength and weaknesses in life. Sometimes they offer us excellent ways to get rid with our problems and stress. They are also our advisers when we have problems we can’t solve on our own. And base on my experiences, there are many kinds of friends you need to have in your life.

A tried-and-true. A friend who is reliable and loyal is the only thing we need sometimes. It is a friend that's not judge-mental and will always support you at the end of the day. A kind of friend who knows your deepest and darkest secrets, but still loves you no matter what.

An adventurous friend. There are so many places we need to see, many fun experiences we need to be had, but we are stuck on our own and forget to have fun and travel. That’s why we need to have  an adventurous friend who will pull us out in our comfort zones and introduce us new ideas, and different activities.

Honest friend. Sometimes there are situations that we have to hear harsh truths. And that’s the role of a honest friend. If you’re in a complicated relationship, and everyone’s telling you that it is normal to break-up and get-back with that special someone, then your friend will surely say “Enough with that nonsense. Stop with all that break-up and get-back drama. You deserve better.”

A wise friend. Jesse Jackson once said, “Never look down on someone unless you’re helping them up.” If you have a friend who is smart, inspiring and admirable who believes in that philosophy, then you are lucky! We all need a friend who inspires us every day and thought us many good deeds. A friend who inspires us to be a better person and has the wisdom to guide us in the right path.

And according to the Mayo Clinic health info (http://www.mayoclinic.org/), Good friends are good for your health. Friends can help you celebrate good times and provide support during bad times. Friends prevent loneliness and give you a chance to offer needed companionship, too. Friends can also:
  •   Increase your sense of belonging and purpose
  •  Boost your happiness and reduce your stress
  • Improve your self-confidence and self-worth
  • Help you cope with traumas such as serious illness, job loss or the death of a loved one
  • Encourage you to change or avoid unhealthy lifestyle habits, such as excessive drinking or lack of exercise

Without friends I'm sure our life would be boring. Life would be completely meaningless and it would show that we are not capable of building relationships with others. But we all know that it is so hard to earn those kinds of friends mentioned above. So we have to pick our friends wisely because with a right group of friends, our life will be much easier, blissful and full of enjoyable moments that we will cherish for many years.
